Round 5: (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Survive)

Choosing a title from a song dropped in 1986 instead of the 90's because fuck you.

Ami left in a 4-1 re-vote, and it doesn't really matter who voted Greg, so long as it wasn't Sean or Dave. Alexis and Malcolm did a good job campaigning, and made me seriously want to consider working with them, until I learned that they spouted a ton of BS and told the other people the same thing almost verbatim, except they switched a few names around. This round, it's time for one of us to finally strike them down. If we lose, throw a 2-2-2 vote onto Malcolm and Alexis. If Malcolm idols, we re-vote and send Alexis packing. If he doesn't, we take Malcolm out and his idol gets sent home with him. What I think I'm going to do is make a chat, or just talk to them separately, and say "Hey, the vote's going to be two on each of you. If you both vote Greg, Dave and I will vote with you guys on the re-vote and send Greg packing". I feel like lying to them rather than saying "No, I'm not going to work with you". It could make me lose brownie points in future rounds, but I don't want their votes thrown on me and have someone flip to take me out. We'll be in a better spot now than in the previous two votes, but there still could be risks. Greg saved me the first round, and I trusted in Sean and Greg and didn't flip my vote on the initial vote and saved Greg on the re-vote. I think we've established a base of trust, but for whatever reason, I still don't trust Greg. I trust Sean, I trust Dave, and I even trust Erik, Steph, and LJ to an extent, at least on the same level as Greg. I think it's because we don't talk as much one-on-one, and we can't really hold conversations if we aren't joking about random shit. I don't have the same personal relationship with Greg as I do with the others, and just talk less game with him. Also, he's kind of a snake. He has these elaborate plots that are unnecessarily complex and just get confusing. Rather than save me initially before the tie, he tied the vote. Rather than solely vote Ami, he tried to make it a 4-3-1 or a 4-2-1-1 vote, with me getting the second highest to (seemingly) protect himself if an idol was played. I still need him right now, but come the merge, he's a lot more expendable. I think there are a few people that are higher priority targets, like Danielle and JFP, but Greg isn't in my long-term plans. (which just means don't get voted out, make the F3 with Dave and Sean)

Malcolm and Alexis asked me about making a F4 with with them and Dave. I let Greg and Sean know that they put it out there (and told them that Alexis called them stupid players), but I'm not rolling with them. I have my core alliance, and if we can win this next challenge, then I don't have to worry about pissing Malcolm or Alexis off. I even told both of them I was taking Ami out on the re-vote, and they both agreed, yet one of them chose to anyways. They're clearly fighting hard to stay in the game, and Alexis even went as far as calling me her closest ally. I think it's safe to say she's just saying whatever she can to stay safe, given that I didn't vote how she wanted me to.

In other news, Dave's activity has dropped off hardcore, to the point where I see him on once or maybe twice a day, for pretty short periods of time. It's really made Sean my only real go-to guy, and it's put Sean above Dave. I'd like for it to be a F3 where we all make the end, but if it's a F2 at this point, I'd rather take Sean with me. Black and the Boar, all the way.

We...we did it. We finished the challenge. I'm not trying to brag, but I did most of the work for the team. I got the Kel Gleason one, I got the Rocko one, and I cleared out the NBC shows for the 3rd person. When I wasn't online, shit barely happened. People didn't try and move the chains. The first two times I did stuff, when I hopped off, almost nothing happened. Only this most recent time did Alexis and Greg do shit when I was offline, and I was only gone for 10 minutes. People wonder why we keep losing, and this is why. Alexis claimed she needed Malcolm or I on because we were the only ones who knew 90's shows. I'm sorry, but Malcolm was barely online and contributed jack shit, so it just came down to me being there for the tribe. Dave called us the Fang tribe, and we honestly are. Dave, Greg, and Sean have lost every single challenge, with Malcolm and Alexis each only winning one.

Speaking of Alexis, she pissed me off during the challenge. She said because I made the thread, I had to post everything in it. She was online more than anyone else and always had ideas she was willing to contribute, but constantly shot down other, better ideas. For instance, I suggested throwing out broad categories first so we'd have general knowledge of all three people. "Mike, that makes no sense, we need to wait until we're down for one." Well, odds are we wouldn't have to ask about the gender if we were down to one, single person. It applies to all three, it's something all three share, and it's something we need to ask at some point. She wanted to only use specific ones right off the bat, and would rather nitpick and take the risk of guessing person by person than playing it safe, and it just didn't pay off. Now, you think she'd take 5 seconds to Google famous shows from the 90's she could use, but research was handed out to Greg or I. She didn't actually need me online at all times for the challenge, but as soon as I hopped off, she just complained about how her tablet wasn't showing up. If Malcolm didn't have an idol, I'd like to send her home for being difficult when I was online and useless when I was offline.
