It's been a while, but not a whole lot has happened. Ami got voted out to no one's surprise. And my new tribe won it's third straight immunity, and we're thinking we might have made the merge with this victory. Which kind of actually stinks on some level. Like, I'm never gonna turn down tribal immunity, but it would be good to maybe get a vote in before the merge to see where everyone is at. As of tonight, I was still strongly considering going over to Dolly and Danielle's side with Steph and going with Dolly's plan to take out Jonny or maybe LJ.
But then something crazy happened.
Jonny Effing Fairplay, basically number one on my hitlist, and I had a serious bonding experience as we single-handedly did most of the challenge together in a winning effort this evening. Which was a really cool moment. But I still wanted him gone because he's smart and he's probably got an idol. But then he came to me shortly afterwards...
And he had a proposal. He told me that he felt we were the two big targets on our tribe. "Ok, Jonny, I can maybe see it". No, I really think I'm sitting pretty right now, actually, but you seem to be a target. Then he told me that we should stick together as such and not vote each other out, but instead, make it to the merge and deep into the merge together, since a lot of the power players seem to be in an alliance over on Backstreet together, in Sean, Dave, Greg, and Mike. "Yeah, yeah, I like this idea, Jonny. I feel like I might be alienated from my old tribemates at the merge." Oh good, now maybe I can win your trust before I backstab you as you feel safe enough to not play your idol. "Oh and by the way, you may have heard...I have the idol. As a sign of trust between us." Now I can definitely find a way to blindside you, this is great.
So we continue to talk and I think I've built some trust there and I really do like the guy, but with that idol, I think he's gotta go. So I told him about Dolly's alliance plan because even if he knows about it, he can't do much about it. He can play his idol, but I think that telling him about a concrete plan to get him out will really endear me to him and he'll believe me if I tell him I'm voting with him and we can get someone like Dolly out.
SO, should be interesting. I may have found a new ally in an unexpected place, but more than likely, I found a big threat willing to paint a huge target on his back.
I hope Sean and Dave survive tomorrow. I imagine that there is no reason they shouldn't but i don't want anyone getting screw by an idol...or Greg. Those guys are still the #1 and 2 guys I wanna work with
