But anyways, Ken, yes. I screwed up. We're here because of me. But was my performance in the challenge indicative of how I'll perform in future challenges? Absolutely not. This wasn't a reflection of a lack of commitment or competency. This was a reflection of me setting an alarm for a really odd hour of the night and then accidentally sleeping through it and screwing up this brutal challenge. But you can ask anyone here, I've been present, I've been just as much a part of the tribe as anybody, and in future challenges, I will definitely be an asset. If you want to hold me accountable for today by voting me out, then so be it. But I can tell you that I will come to play in every single challenge after this, and that I will be a loyal compadre to this tribe and the people on it going forward in this game.  my five closest allies in the game are all sitting right here.

And really, Ken, Survivor is more than just a physical game. it's about more than just the challenges. It's about the social aspect and building relationships and being a positive presence and a loyal ally and I think I am all of those things. So through the relationships I've built so far, I think that I'm still in a good place. And I'm not sure everyone around me can say the same.

I know I kept preaching that we'd be able to win the challenge, but I guess was a bit....off. I just assumed with a lot of people being seemingly inactive, we had the upper hand - but I don't know. I think our strategy was just too elaborate and ambitious for our own good, and it definitely would have helped it somebody sat out. I think we'll be able to pull it together for the next challenge. This one was super intense, so I'm hoping for something a little more relaxed in the second round (plz, I need my beauty sleep).

A challenge like this seems pretty adept at creating a scapegoat for the tribe. Only as much as one post can really screw you over in your chances to win, so if you want to find out who's the 'weakest link' (code for: WHO FUCKED UP?), you just look for the person who got us our longest time between throws. Yeah, that's Erik.
But here's the thing, in my opinion: shit happens, and this was only one challenge. One dumb mistake doesn't determine someone's worth to the tribe. It takes three points of data to determine a pattern. Regrettably, we're gonna have to cast judgement on someone here, and with a small-as-fuck tribe of 6, there's not really much room to hide. Maybe that means that Erik just punched his ticket when he missed his queue. Maybe not. But I'm not really ready to decide who's the weakest link this early in the game.

I could answer this by saying challenge strenth and activity, or trust and loyalty, or maybe alliances. But instead, I'm just gonna say someone who isn't me, cause fuck if I know what's going on.
